List Building Tip #2
This means that you find someone with a list similar in size to yours and you both email your own lists promoting the other’s offer. As you both benefit from this in the same way, this is a free method.
You can start ad swapping at any time really, but realistically, you need to be able to deliver a certain amount of clicks for it to be beneficial for your swapping partner. Therefore it’s advisable to have a list of around 1000 subscribers before you start ad swapping, but that is by no means exclusive – it really depends on how responsive your list is.
This might be a bit slow to start with. If you were able to do an ad swap of 50 clicks, you could expect to get around 15-30 subscribers from them. But as your list grows, you will be able to deliver more clicks and do ad swaps of for example 100 or 200 clicks and grow it further from there. It’s the good old snowball effect that will happen here! Of course, all of the new subscribers will be directed to your OTOs so hopefully you will also make more and more sales.
You can find plenty of sites for ad swaps, some free and some have a membership fee. As well as for solos in the previous post, I would also recommend Safe Swaps and the Warrior Forum as good sites to find ad swapping partners from.
Safe Swaps has a huge amount of people seeking ad swaps from lists as low as 100 and it has a brilliant feedback system. The downside is, that Safe Swaps charges a monthly subscription fee. Well, you can register as a free user, but it’s unlikely that you will find many people that want to do an ad swap with you if you haven’t upgraded your membership. For solos however, the free registration is fine (as you pay for solos).
You can also find many people asking for ad swaps on the Warrior Forum. Just do a search using the search function on the forum and plenty of results should come up. They are especially in the Joint Venture section of the forum. It used to be free to join but they now charge a $10 one time fee upon registration. I strongly advise you to join if you haven’t yet – especially if you are in the IM/MMO niche.
